We have a host of activities
all designed to encourage our young people to get involved,
to express themselves openly and to make friends. From
youth cell groups to camps to dance groups and music
bands there is a huge variety of interests that everyone
can take part in.
Living Waters hopes to see the youth of Cairns &
surrounding areas to be raised up in the ways of God
as leaders who will strive for peace and justice in
the coming generation. We believe in keeping our youth
active and healthy whilst providing them with a support
network greater than just their immediate families.
Our aim is to educate, motivate and provide an avenue
where youth can gather in a safe, healthy organised
environment.
Our group involves over 50 young people who meet
every Friday night at 7/4 Plath Close. Our focus
is developing our youth into strong
future leaders. Programs including music, dance, the
arts & sport keep our youth active which
helps build & shape solid friendships & strong
relationships.
Our current leaders all contain blue cards and have
been working with local youth for many years. Each year
we strive to improve our quality of service, information
& activities provided to the youth.
Funding provided will go directly into covering costs
the youth activities, paying for and providing transport,
food & drinks, access to venues, and the necessary
materials and equipment for the youth group activities.
Any support you can offer for this local youth group
in any means possible, by way of donations, funding,
sponsorship, discounts, or any other services you may
be able to offer would be greatly appreciated &
acknowledged at every opportunity.
We are excited that 2008 will be a year of growth and
expansion for our youth group as we are hoping to
increase the number of activities we can offer.
